Too many business owners don’t have a realistic plan for how to exit their businesses, earn a decent retirement income, and preserve the legacy they’ve built and the jobs they’ve created. Don’t wait until you are ready to retire before you think about how to exit your business! At that point, liquidation and closure becomes the default option, which shortchanges you as the owner and results in lost jobs and economic assets in your community. This workshop will help you understand the exit planning process, assess your options, and decide which option makes most sense for you. A deeper dive into one of the least understood exit planning options – selling to your employees – will be a focus.
