"The social impact of business: How profits (can) make the world a better place"

6/7/2023   10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
The SUNY Brockport SBDC looks forward to Dr. Carson Young, Assistant Professor of Management at SUNY Brockport speaking.

Should business be about the financial bottom line, or about making the world a better place? How can financial and social goals complement each other, rather than be in tension? What should we make of popular frameworks for thinking about the social responsibility of business, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, stakeholder theory, and ESG investing?

This presentation provides participants with guidance for thinking through questions such as these. The goal of the talk is to help small business owners, and others who are interested, develop their thinking about what it means to do business ethically and how business can contribute to a better world.
Registration for the Free program is required for a link to the meeting.
