Small Business Administration Syracuse District Office announced today the grand opening of the Corning/Painted Post Outreach Center, recently relocated to IncubatorWorks at 109 Canada Road in Painted Post, NY. The new outreach center is the result of the expansion of the Binghamton University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) located in Binghamton, NY. Keynote speakers at the grand opening on May 15th included Scott Bloor, Assistant Director of the Binghamton University SBDC; Brian Goldstein, State Director of the New York State SBDC; Per Stromhaug, Assistant Vice President for Innovation and Economic Development at Binghamton University; and Bernard J. Paprocki, Syracuse District Director of the SBA. “We’re proud to recognize the commitment and investment made by Binghamton University to the Southern Tier small business community. Entrepreneurs that access expert guidance from a Small Business Development Center advisor contribute a greater impact on job creation and economic stability,” said Bernard J. Paprocki, SBA Syracuse District director. The SBDC at Binghamton University expanded its region on Oct. 1, 2017 to create a comprehensive, full-service organization that provides assistance to small businesses in 12 New York counties: Broome, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Otsego, Tioga, Tompkins, Allegany, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben and Yates. Small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs can go to the new SBDC outreach center for free face-to-face business consulting and at-cost training, on topics including business planning, accessing capital, marketing, regulatory compliance, technology development, international trade and much more. The new SBDC outreach center is administered by State University of New York and funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of New York and host campus Binghamton University.
