Albany – The New York Small Business Development Center (NY SBDC), a not for profit consulting organization for new and existing businesses, released the latest edition of its online entrepreneurial education course, EntreSkills™. EntreSkills™ was developed with the assistance of educators and small business specialists, and is available for clients of the NY SBDC.

EntreSkills™ comes in three versions: for entrepreneurs, for military veterans and for New York State educators. The versions for entrepreneurs and military veterans are available to all NY SBDC clients. EntreSkills for Educators™ is free for all New York state educators.

Dedicated to providing entrepreneurial education to schools, universities, existing small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs, the NY SBDC first revealed the EntreSkills™ course in 2001. Since its inception, the core chapters have been enhanced with features such as a business plan builder, informative videos and small business success stories.

EntreSkills™ is designed to be used in its entirety, as a supplement to other resources or as a guide to focus on certain areas of business, like marketing, procurement or conducting business online. The educators' version includes the ability to monitor students' progress through tests, the business plan builder and other interactive capabilities.
